Can someone help me. I know the answer is 3.6 but can someone show me a way to square root it without a calculator. Square root of 13 √13

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

There's no easy/quick way to get square roots without a calculator... you can estimate by hand but it's tedious. sqrt13 is between sqrt9 and sqrt16, so between 3 and 4, probably around 3.5. So you can start with 3.5, square it, and then gradually increase to say 3.55, etc until you get close to 13 after you square it.
