can anyone explain about facilitated diffusion using diagrams? i have a hard time understanding it
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Facilitated_diffusion . wikipedia explains ds very well .study ds .
Facilitated diffusion occurs when molecules cannot directly diffuse across the membrane pass through a special protein.

there are two types of facilitated diffusion right? is active transport one of it?
and passive transport
active transport requires energy and passive only uses proteins and channels to transport
There are types of passive transport: simple diffusion, facilitated diffusion, diffusion, and osmosis.
what about aquaporin?
aquaporin is when proteins are stuck in the cell membrane not letting water to pass by
let me find a good site perfect for u so u can study from :)
Enjoy.
thanks a lot!
