please explain.... i dont want just the answer.

okay i know that srt and str are both 20.... but i dont know what to do next

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and i also know that the answer is definitely 40 but i want to understand my work when i turn it in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is there numbers for the triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since ∠SRT ≅ ∠STR -----(given) Since m∠SRT = 20 Therefore, m∠STR = 20 now m∠STR +m∠STU = 180 ------------(linear pair angles) I.e. 20 +4x = 180 i.e. 4x = 180-20 i.e. 4x = 160 i.e. x = 160/4 i.e. x = 40 Thus the value of x is 40 degrees. @sweetiepie1994

good job @dpasingh i could not have figured that out and good job @sweetiepie1994 for finding that it was 40
