I'm taking a pretest to find out what I know but I need help. How do I find the probability that she picked a yellow jelly bean? Felicia had a small bag of jelly beans. The bag contained 2 green, 10 pink, 5 red, 8 yellow, and 7 orange candies. She picked one of the jelly beans from the bag.
the way you do probability is a ratio of what you want out of everyhing... so what is the total amount of jelly beans? 2+10+5+8+7=32. so you have total of 32. and you want to pick a yellow one. well, you have 8 yellos so it is: 8/32
Wow. That is so easy. -.- Thank you.
But that's not an answer on the test haha.
well, fractions can often be simplified. do you see any of the answers that are a simplification of this?
Erm I'm bad at math so Idk how to simplify.
yes you can!
what numbers can go into both 8 and 32
what are multiples of 8....
I never paid attention in class.
Tbh I wanna drop out.
lol, no! math isnt hard!! you jsut need to break it down to simple ways for you to understand it
I've been on this question for like 10 mins IT'S ANNOYING haha.
okay well if you plug 8/32 into your calculator you will get .25 (1/4) as your answer
Now I can move on to the next, thank you.
because 8/32= 8 divided by 8 / 32 divided by 8
no problem:)
what class is this for?
