Please please please help!
after trying to get 225/2 and get a figure for how much it costs for 1 day of rent, it the value didn't work in the 5 days rent \(\bf \cfrac{225}{2} = 112.5\qquad \qquad 112.5\times 5 = 562.5\) so it's not 112.5 how much the daily rent is many vendors of products usually charge a "setup fee" like cable companies or cellphone companies, which is a static or fixed amount at first, and then the daily rate so after checking a few values, the value that worked has been $55 225-55 = 170 so the daily rate is 170/2 = 85 so each day's rent is $85 so we can say that, when Sam showed up to rent the boat, he was told that there was a setup fee, maybe to clean up the boat and before he takes it after the setup fee, he just needs to pay the daily rent of $85 per day so we can say that after "x days" he has to pay \(\bf 85 \times x\) but if we add the setup fee, he has thus far paid \( \bf 55 + 85 \times x\) so total rent "y" is \( \bf 55 + 85 \times x\) that is \( \bf y = 55 + 85 x\)
after 5 days he'd pay \(\bf x = 5\\ \quad \\ y= 55 + 85x\implies y= 55 + 85(5)\implies y = 55+425\implies y = 480\)
Thank you so much!!!
