The two Native American groups I chose are the Anasazi and the Inuit. The Inuit Indians lived near the Arctic Ocean. They lived in Igloos that were made mainly of ice and snow blocks. The Inuit mainly hunted and fished for their food, some of the animals they caught or hunted were: seals, whales, walruses and some deer. They used the fur and skins from these animals as warm clothing that they either kept for themselves or traded for other supplies. The Anasazi Indians lived in present day Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado. The Anasazi’s mainly lived in stone dwellings, and in cliff dwellings. The cliff dwellings were easily defendable and were really good protection for winter seasons. Due to a massive drought season that interfered with their agricultural lifestyle they were forced to move into smaller villages.
