LAST QUESTION OF THE DAY! PLEASE HELP!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Select the equation of the line that passes through the point (–2, –1) and has slope 5 in point-slope form. A. (y – 1) = 5(x – 2) B. (x + 2) = 5(y – 1) C. (x – 2) = 5(y + 1) D. (y + 1) = 5(x + 2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Luigi0210 Plz help if you kno

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Do you know the point-slope formula?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no but this is the last question can you answer it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so slope is the number with an x next to it...mark out B and C...Now work the math for A and D.... (x+2)=5(y-1) your answer is D...since after working it out... A) y=5x-9 D) y=5x+11 i used my graphing calculator and graphed it and yeah its D well good luck(:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Luigi0210 ?

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

@warood you got this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it d just making sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Isnt it supposed to be A? @Luigi0210

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plz guys answer me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no its d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not good at math but these kinds of questions are loaded in ever star test

OpenStudy (anonymous):

every*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is d. - point slope is for (x,y) y-y1=m(x-x1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y1 is -1 and x1 is -2 in this case and m=5
