x+2y-2 -3x-6y=6 graph the linear system and determine how many solutions it has.
... so graph each and find out where the 2 lines overlap/intersect
1 intersection = 1 solution 2 " = 2 " if lines on top of each other: infinite intersections = infinite solutions
goku rocks!
who said goku cant do math?
;D ...wait... who DID say that...? @azbits ?
Superman lol
it's on!
@MysteryOwl ... assume it's meant to be x+2y=-2... yeah?
yes
cool, so what did you're lines look like on the graph? |dw:1380947338533:dw|
how can i graph those 2 equations?
pick an x value solve for y plot that point as (x, y) on the graph ie EQN 1: x+2y=-2 i pick x = 10 10+2y=-2 2y = -12 so y = -6 so my first point is (10, -6) u try for equation 2...
also dude, if ur not understanding something, pipe up nice and early hey, that way we wont brush over bits like this
|dw:1380947633409:dw|
hmm.. i see.. its ok.. im just doing advance study.. because our proferssor might give us a surprise quiz.. and one thing im not a dude xD
2nd point for equation 1: pick an x value solve for y plot that point as (x, y) on the graph ie EQN 1: x+2y=-2 i pick x = 0 0+2y=-2 2y = -2 so y = -1 so my 2nd point is (0, -1) |dw:1380947780114:dw|
so when we plot equation 1 it gives us a line that looks something like this
sorry little dudette ;D
infinite solution :D
perfect!
hihihi xDD i see now. aigatou goku-kun
Do'itashimapellete kawaii-owl xD
