A ball is thrown straight up with an initial speed of 1000. cm/s. Given that the acceleration due to gravity is 982 cm/s2, and neglecting any force other than the weight of the ball, calculate the time that it will take for the ball to reach its maximum altitude (take the moment that the ball leaves the hand of the person throwing it to be t=0s)
