If you times the function of this graph by a factor, you are effectively stretching by this factor. Can you see why it's only half as tall? but still the same width? You're only changing the y coordinate. Part d is similar, except the - sign inside the bracket means you're reflecting the graph in the y axis. The 1/2 is the same as before, it's changing the y coordinates by a scale of 1/2. So you're mirroring part c in the y axis.
