jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

According to this page http://hotmath.com/hotmath_help/topics/angle-of-intersecting-chords-theorem.html all you need to do is add up the arc measures and divide by 2 to get the angle formed by the chords

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

basically, this means that [(arc measure 1) + (arc measure 2)]/2 = Angle formed by chords (101 + 37)/2 = 5x - 6 solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 7.8, but I'm not sure if I did it correctly

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

(101 + 37)/2 = 5x - 6 (138)/2 = 5x - 6 69 = 5x - 6 x = ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, so x=15?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

correct
