At what point of a plot does the action wind down to reveal the effects of the action or decision?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anonymous is right

A falling action in a story comes after the climax (most exciting part or turning point of the story). It's the opposite of the rising action which leads to the climax. The falling action usually leads to the resolution.
