OpenStudy (anonymous):

in which form is the following functions written? y=-2x^2 +5x -1 and y-3=1/2(x-1)^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First is quadratic, second is pointslope i think, ask for a second opinion

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i will thanks so quadratic form? and pointslope form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is this right guys?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just ask it again, I'm probably wrong sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually, http://cs.selu.edu/~rbyrd/math/equations/. The second is point slope for sure.

myininaya (myininaya):

Well that second equation is not even a line. The first form is general form of a quadratic. That second is not quite in the vertex form. General form for a quadratic y=ax^2+bx+c Vertex form for a quadratic y=a(x-h)^2+k

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

got it first one is stranded form the other is vertex form

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

"stranded" should be corrected as "standard" in ma answer///

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you were right ISURU
