Write the equation of the line that passes through the given point and is parallel to the given line. Your answer should be written in slope-intercept form. P(−9, 2), y + 2x = −12

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Do you know what is the slope? Unfortunately since I am using my iPad, I can't use the equation format. However I hope that you understand what I am writing. So there is this formulae that is: y=mx+b I will just give you the main key terms that math teachers usually look for. m=slope b=y-intercept Ok. So there is this saying, "Plug in what you know, to find out what you don't know" Well we know that the x is the x coordinate. So y=m(-9)+b
