how do solve the equation 2x^2+5x=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

factor out an \(x\) first, and start with \[x(2x+5)=0\]

then set each factor equal so zero and solve for \(x\) the first one doesn't require solving, you get \(x=0\) the second one \(2x+5=0\) takes two steps
