Which equation has no solution? A) 7v+2=8v-3 B) 3x-5=3x+8-x C) 4y+5=4y-6 D) 7z+6=-7z-5 How can you tell if an equation does not have a solution by the way?

OpenStudy (shamil98):

C. you can tell because the if you subtract 4y from each side the equation will not make sense, (5 does not equal -6) basically if the same variable is on the other side its no solution.

Alright, thanks a lot. :)

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

yes the answer is C ... because when variable cancel then remaning value is 5 = -6 5 never equal to -6 ttherefore you cannot solve this equation
