Which number is not in scientific notation? eleven times ten to the twenty-first five point seven times ten to the ninth three point one times ten to the negative twelfth one point six seven times ten to the negative fifth

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

well none of these are in scientific notation yet... they are just written out, but if you write them out , they all seem like sci. notations: \(11*10 ^{21}\) \(5.7*10^9\) \(3.1*10^{-12}\) \(1.6*10^{-5}\)

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

all of them can be simplified... but for the first one, you just need to add a decimal point and zero to calculate which way to add the power of 21

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

soo all of these seem like sci. notation to me, my best guess would be the first choice because you have to add something to it

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

make sense? @TTP ?

OpenStudy (ttp):

Yea. So a? (:

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

yeah :)

OpenStudy (ttp):

Thanks!!

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):
