Giving medal to first to help. A company sells cardboard that is nine and one-fourth millimeters thick. Write an equation to solve for the number of sheets of cardboard, c, in a pile that is one hundred twenty-nine and one-half millimeters thick. What must be done to both sides to solve the equation?

OpenStudy (jack1):

thickness = 9.25mm each thickness total = 129.5mm = 9.25 x y sheets

OpenStudy (jack1):

so y = 129.5/9.25

OpenStudy (jack1):

does that all make sense @nickmifsud1223 ?

OpenStudy (jack1):

in this case, y = c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah that makes sense, Thank you dude. I'm just stuck on this one so yeah.

OpenStudy (jack1):

easy as man, yw, slaters ;D
