Bread mold is a good topic. It really gives a well rounded idea of biology and how bacteria works.

my teacher says that I can't do anything with living things; no humans, plants, animals, bacteria.

but thanks for the suggestion. I was thinking about doing something to do with compost but it is hard to keep constants and takes too long

How about water and its freezing point. That is also a very good experiment that you could do at home in a day!
