Which of the following statements uses ethos? A. Every dollar invested in fighting children's hunger today saves three dollars in future medical care for people who grow up malnourished. B. You are too selfish to give money to children in need. C. Donate now to help Sylvia, a four-year-old girl from Yugoslavia, who is starving. D. Dr. Sanchez, a pediatrician, says that it is important for young children to get enough to eat. @aaronq @Euler271 @iambatman @Zale101 @Compassionate
Arguably all of them lol. I think the answer is B. i'm not sure
ethos appeals more to ethics
A because Yugoslavia doesn't exist anymore haha
yeah, D sounds more like an ethos statement. Ethos sentence should be more persuasive of the character. Because Dr. Sanchez is a pediatrician, we are convinced that his advises are true and accurate.
This one is a toughy
A sounds logic
it leans more to logos
and B is more like pathos, since the statement uses emotions to convince the reader
B is pathos
B questions the reader's character..
"You are too selfish to give money to children in need." the one who said this sounds a bit sensitive in my opinon
those who think it is pathos are a bit sensitive. lol
ok..
It's not B lol
It's D
It is D because A is logos, C is useless, B is pathos, nice work zale.
C is useless LOL
haha
lol my brain hurts idk which one
D
Ethos shows persuasion through the credibility of a certain person. And in Sentence "D" it showed Dr. Sanchez, his ability of being a pediatrician can persuade readers to take his advises
oooo ok
