For this one I add 3 on both sides?

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

This time you have x's on the right side. So do it such that they're on on the same side.

Collect like terms

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

You add 3x to both sides, yes.

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

And then what will you do next?

OpenStudy (petiteme):

4-3x=5x-6x-7 Add like terms first so, 4-3x=-x-7 Transpose -x to the left side and 4 to the right side so, x-3x=-7-4 -2x=-11 divide both sides by -2 and you'll get the value of x :)
