a retangular yard 33ft by 38ft is borded and surrounded by a fence. Inside a walk that is 2ft wide goes all the way around the fence. Find the area of this walk.

Since the outer part is 2 feet bigger all around the sides are 40 and 35. First we find the area of the inside 38 x 33 = 1254 then 40 x 35 = 1400 Then we subtract the areas to find the area of the fence. 1400 - 1254 A = 146cm^2
