ok so 7 people are sharing cards. at the end of sharing each person has 6 cards.how many cards are there total?

 so there are seven people with six cards each.  

 can you figure out how many that is?

the problem you gave was that each person has six cards... so unless there is only one person there cannot be six in total.

from the info given you cant know how many each person started with.. only the total that the group started with.
