Name four Pythagorean Triplets

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3,4,5 6,8,10 5,12,13 9,12,15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1, 2, 4 are the same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can find as many different ones as you like do you know how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My teacher last year said you could use duplicates, correct? The same triplet, just a different way?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can't remember all of what he had said.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they are not different, they are the same triangle|dw:1381191746007:dw|

|dw:1381191785291:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. So that is incorrect if you just use a duplicate of x2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pick two numbers one even one odd i pick 4 and 1 then compute \(4^2-1^2=16-1=15\) also compute \(2\times 4\times 1=8\) and finally compute \(4^2+1^2=17\) the triple is \(15,8,17\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

repeat with say \(5\) and \(2\) and you will get another one
