3p^2r^2 + 6pr +p ?
@notillis What are the instructions for this?
Teacher just said to solve the problem.
I know I must look for the comon factor but do not know what to do next
p(3pr^2_6r+1)=0 Thats all I can think of
Does the given problem have an "= 0" on the end? If so, you did not post it. So, I don't know if we are supposed to just factor the given expression OR to find something else. To me, it looks like a factoring problem So, tell me about where that "equals zero" came from. Thanks.
I put it, the problem does not have it
Sorry I always put the =0.
That is not a good practice because it changes the nature of the problem from an algebraic expression to an equation.
Would you check the problem source and see if you posted the expression exactly as it appears? Sorry to bug you about that but there's something odd about this problem.
3p^2r^2++6pr+p that is what the book says
3p^2r^2+6pr+p
Okay. Then, I get the same as you. 3p^2r^2 + 6pr +p = p(3pr^2+6r+1)
Thank you a lot I think I was complicating it.
I think I was, too. Is this problem from a section on factoring?
