A) is correct, he almost took over the arsenal at Harpers Ferry, but his plans didn't work out, "Civil War Generals recaptured the arsenals, and took Brown and several other raiders in alive"

A, yeah he raided Harpers ferry because he was anti slavery that is were he was capture.  He led many raids and killings on pro slavery people but that was the event that got him killed since he was captured.
