Permutation help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the order you get the photographs doesn't matter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not that I know of

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah it doesn't matter, but I'm not familiar with "P" or + o signs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not familiar with any of it lol I'm about to go to Purple Math I guess lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the two possibilities will be more than just added if you have hypothetically 5 options of dog, and 4 for cat (random example) then you have like 5*4 different set of photographs overall

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I get that. It's all those !'s things and extra stuff that attacks me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

& the P's and o's

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A) can't be right because they mix numbers from the two subsets

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think C makes sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anyways we should understand the & and P's and o's otherwise these questions aren't really solvable....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah C doesn't have any information about how many photographs we had. that DOES make a difference though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

P probably stands for "pick"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you have a purple math link, please post it...... especially the o sign, I don't have any clue about it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is a pretty reasonable assumption lol. Alright I'ma look it up now and get back with you so stay posted

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is what I found http://www.algebra.com/algebra/homework/Permutations/Permutations.lesson =/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so, probably the o is just oversized multiplication dot
