anyone really good at geometry? I need help with a few questions.

OpenStudy (hihi67):

The questions being...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What set of reflections would carry hexagon ABCDEF onto itself?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hihi67 these are the answers: x-axis, y=x, x-axis, y=x y=x, x-axis, y=x, y-axis y-axis, x-axis, y-axis x-axis, y-axis, y-axis i think it's the second one?

OpenStudy (hihi67):

Yes, the second one is correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hihi67 Which two transformations are applied to pentagon ABCDE to create A'B'C'D'E'? translated according to the rule (x, y) →(x + 8, y + 2) and reflected across the x-axis translated according to the rule (x, y) →(x + 2, y + 8) and reflected across the y-axis translated according to the rule (x, y) →(x + 8, y + 2) and reflected across the y-axis translated according to the rule (x, y) →(x + 2, y + 8) and reflected across the x-axis i think this would be the third answer? :3

OpenStudy (hihi67):

correct again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hihi67 What is the line of reflection between pentagons PQRST and P'Q'R'S'T'? y = x y = 0 x = 1 x = 0 would this be the second answer?

OpenStudy (hihi67):

Yes, geez, this is pointless! You just keep getting them all right! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hihi67 well, first time I took this I bombed it pretty bad. So i've been studying and I think I have it pretty well this time.. I just wanna make sure.

OpenStudy (hihi67):

Yep, you're good.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, there's one more I'll need help with.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A city grid of Anytown, USA is shown on the grid below. The fire department is represented by quadrilateral RSTU. Another fire department is opening in a different part of the city to maximize fire protection. The size of the new department's property must be congruent to the older department. Vertices A and B are plotted on the grid to represent two vertices of the new fire department quadrilateral ABCD. What could be the ordered pairs representing vertices C and D of quadrilateral ABCD so that the new fire department is congruent to the old fire department?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C(1, 1), D(4, 1) C(1, 6), D(4, 6) C(1, 2), D(4, 2) C(1, 4), D(4, 4)

OpenStudy (hihi67):

Do you have an idea? By the way, what grade are you in?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hihi67 I honestly have no idea with this one. If you could explain it, that would be awesome. Also, I'm in the tenth grade, lol.

OpenStudy (hihi67):

why lol?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why, what..?

OpenStudy (hihi67):

you wrote lol and im wondering why

OpenStudy (anonymous):

force of habit, i guess?

OpenStudy (hihi67):

oh okay sorry to bother you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's fine.

OpenStudy (hihi67):

first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you're saying it's the first answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hihi67

OpenStudy (hihi67):

yeah
