i need help with a graph question that i don't understand...

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

What is the uncertainty of: the x - variable ± ____mm the y - variable ± ____g Hint: The uncertainty is the size of the rectangle on this graph.

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

wow nobody knows??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x = 0.5 mm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=++/- 0.5mm y = +/- 0.05g

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you look at the differences between the numbers and take half of it. for example on the mm line, you have 1, 2, 3, 4. The difference is 1. Therefore the uncertainty is half if it, which is 0.5

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Oh ok i see. That makes sense:) Thanks!
