Solve the system by graphing. If the system is inconsistent and has no solution, state this .If the system is dependent, write the form of the solution for any real number x. (1) y=-5x+6 3x-4y=-24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

bring second equation to standard form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ever since you help me the first time I av try to do it myself ,I cant so much headache and I cried so much that I need to ask someone again .solve it and graph it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is what I got

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sounds like math homework.......... :( luckily there's OS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=-5x+6 3x-4y=-24 -4y=-3x-24 oy y=(3/4)x+6 1st slope is -5 and second slope is 3/4 check this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

very good

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then my problem is to graph help draw the graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, to draw graph we need two points. I advise you to get y-intercept for first point, and then use the slope to get a second point.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let's first draw " y=-5x+6 " what is the y-intercept ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the y intercept is where the y-axis is cut |dw:1381258068395:dw| at this position, x=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1381258270925:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

looks good :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can't tell the slope from picture but, in your actual drawing going to the right 4 should go up 3
