zepdrix (zepdrix):

\[\Large f(\color{royalblue}{x})=2(\color{royalblue}{x})^2+4(\color{royalblue}{x})+10\]

zepdrix (zepdrix):

\[\Large f(\color{royalblue}{-3})=2(\color{royalblue}{-3})^2+4(\color{royalblue}{-3})+10\]

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Understand how function notation works? :o We replace the x's with -3's. Need help simplifying it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i get -56 everytime. but its not an answer choice.

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Squaring the first term gives us,\[\Large f(\color{royalblue}{-3})=2(9)+4(\color{royalblue}{-3})+10\]Did you remember to square the negative? :)
