The 1469 marriage of Prince Ferdinand and Queen Isabella created which nation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it multiple choice?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pretty sure it's Spain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was thinking it might be Spain or Castille

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, that's what I thought too. I just checked and it said Spain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know that Isabella and Ferdinand were King and Queen of Spain and funded many of Columbus' voyages, but I also know that she is called the Jewel of Castile, so I wasn't sure which one it was.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@e.cociuba I think Spain is right. She was born in Castile and then married Ferdinand and they created Spain.

OpenStudy (e.cociuba):

Yes, and they became king and queen. In the link that I posted above , it shows the family's decedents. That helped me figure out that Spain, was in fact the correct answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep. :) Thanks for the medals. :))

OpenStudy (e.cociuba):

No problem :)
