i would really appreciate the help i almost understand! :)

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Start by writing a balanced chemical equation. MgO \(\rightarrow\) Mg + O\(_2\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i understand that then do i plug in my numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait so lets say i have .26g of Mg. How do i calculate the amount of oxygen in grams?..i think that is where i got confused

OpenStudy (aaronq):

find moles of MgO, then find grams of oxygen atoms that equal to those moles.
