\[\sqrt{x-97}=13\] is a start then square and get \[x-97=13^2=169\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

finally add \(97\) to both sides and get \[x=169+97=266\]

Ok yay! thats what i thought, but wasnt so sure, thanks so much :)
