Can some ask a question?

OpenStudy (smileyxl3):

I just did :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ask away

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If x > 2, then x2 – x – 6 x2 – 4 = A. x – 3 2 B. x – 3 x – 2 C. x – 3 x + 2 D. 32

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I am not sure what are you asking me to do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If x>2 , thenX^2-X-6/ X^2-4=

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

then thenX^2-X-6/ X^2-4 equal or more than

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

If you factor the nominator and denominator of X^2-X-6/ X^2-4 you will see that (x+2) cancels on top and bottom. So you can write it as (x-3) / (x-2).

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

what for?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

so your question was to simplify?! I don't understand what exactly am I supposed to do.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, to simplify... and provide an explanation as you already did. thanks! (:

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

OK, but what totally confused me is the x>2, b/c that is absolutely unnecessary, for this simplifying problem.
