Algebra 2 help please! MEDALS TO BE GIVEN!
There are two questions I just can't figure out, can you please help me? 1. Stephanie is student teaching at her local high school. She has to help her instructor write a test. She has to write a radical equation where the solutions are extraneous. She also has to write a radical equation where the solutions are non-extraneous. Help Stephanie write one radical equation where the solution is extraneous and another equation where the solution is non-extraneous. Using complete sentence, explain each step. ::Now I already know what extraneous means and what isn't extraneous and I can take care of putting it into sentences. I just need those equations because I don't think I'm doing it right. What exactly does a radical equation look like again? Ugh. Anyway, if you could help with this one and this next one. 2. Two Olympic swimmers, Ryan and Michael, create unique ripple waves in the water. The function created by Ryan is f(x)=4x^2. The function created by Michael is f(x)= 4x^2 - 5x + 3. Describe to Ryan and Michael which operation results in the largest degree function and which operation results in the smallest degree function. ::I have one more similar to this one so if you could explain how you got your answer so I can do it myself, that would help a whole lot too. Thank you so much in advance!
