Oh I see what I did wrong. It is x=14. I just forgot that 12 is negative. You are right @CaliBaby

10+4(x-9)=3x-12 you would first distribute so 10+4x-36=3x-12 then reduce 4x - 26 = 3x - 12 then subtract 3x from both sides -3x -3x x - 26 = - 12 then add 26 to both sides to isolate x + 26 + 26 x = 14
