Find the ratio of x to y. Please explain how to do it as well.

OpenStudy (shamil98):

For what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry! give me minute to type the equation

OpenStudy (shamil98):

Direct proportion in algebra is x1/x2 = y1/y2 indirect proportion in algebra is x1/x2 = y2/y1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ x }{ 5 }=\frac{ 2 }{ 3 }=\frac{ 5 }{ y }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it 2/3? Because that is the middle equation and x is on top and y is on bottom?

OpenStudy (shamil98):

hm 3x= 10 2y = 15

OpenStudy (shamil98):

@ganeshie8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The options are a. 2/3 b. 4/9 c. 1

OpenStudy (shamil98):

I'm not sure.. but i think it would be 2/3 then..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll go with that. Thanks for the help!

OpenStudy (shamil98):
