find a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[f = \frac{ ab }{ b+1 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find a... hmm. oh i see it! it's in the numerator of your fraction!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just kidding. we want to isolate the a on the right side. first get rid of that b + 1. how might we do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-b -1

OpenStudy (shamil98):

f = ab/b+1 fb + f= ab fb+f/b =a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if something is in the denominator and you want to get rid of it...multiply both sides by that denominator you want to get rid of. multiply both sides by b + 1.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply?!?!
