OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

Given the function g(x) = -3x + 4, compare and contrast g(-2) and g(4). Choose the statement that is true concerning these two values. a. The value of g(-2) is smaller than the value of g(4). b. The value of g(-2) is the same as the value of g(4). c. The values of g(-2) and g(4) cannot be compared. d. The value of g(-2) is larger than the value of g(4).

alright so first use -2 for the equation and that would give you -2(x) = -3x+4; so it would come out to be -2x = -3x+4. add 3 to both sides and you get x=4. Then for the second part, use 4 for the function and you get 4(x) = -3x+4; that leaves you with 4x = -3x+4. add 3 to both sides and you get 7x = 4; divide 7 from both sides and you get x= 4/7 SO YOUR ANSWER IS: D :)
