I HAVE THE RECTANGLE AREA,HOW DO I FIND THE UNKNOWN SIDE LENGTH?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Area divided by width = length Do you have more info?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The area of a rectabgle = (length) (width) So to find the length, divide both sides of the equation by the width, consequently, length = Area/width.

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Divide the area with the side length and you will get the unknown measurement.

HOW DO YOU FIND THE SIDE LENGTH?

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

well what I mean by the side length is the measurement that is already in one side of the rectangle. e.g. we have the area of 42 and one side length is 6, so I just divide 42/6=7. so we know that from this problem the missing length is 7.

THIS IS THE PROBLEM: RECTANGLE AREA IS 6,INSIDE OF RECTANGLE IS THE NUMBER 6 THE WORD SQUARE AND UNDER SQUARE IS CM.NEXT I HAVE TO FIND THE UNKNOWN LENGTH.CAN YOU HELP ME?
