How do I find an equivalent fraction?

OpenStudy (homeworksucks):

Multiply the numerator and denominator by the exact same number.

OpenStudy (homeworksucks):

\[\frac{ 3 }{ 4 }\times \frac{ 5 }{ 5 }=\frac{ 15 }{ 20 }\]

OpenStudy (homeworksucks):

Note here that 5/5 is 1, and anything times itself is one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Equivalent Fractions have the same value, even though they may look different. "Change the bottom using multiply or divide, And the same to the top must be applied"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

she doesnt understand how you got the 5/5 she knows that you multiply but shes not getting where 5/5s comes from

OpenStudy (homeworksucks):

Just a random number I chose, it could be 3/3 or 193043824892348/193043824892348
