Could someone work me through solving cos(arctan(4/3)) please? would be so much appreciated...

In the picture, the tangent of angle A is 4/3. Find the missing side using the Pythagorean theorem and then find the cosine using the definition which is side adjacent/hypotenuse.

@ehuman No. the arctangent function is NOT the reciprocal of the tangent function. The cotangent is the reciprocal of the tangent function. The arctangent function is the INVERSE of the tangent function.
