OpenStudy (heyitslizzy13):

does anyone know how to do two column proofs? someone that can help?!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, but would need to see the diagram (clearly), and the Given..and what you want to prove.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you just want general guidelines there is an example here: http://www.sparknotes.com/math/geometry3/geometricproofs/section1.rhtml The table on the bottom is an example to a 2 column proof of the diagram above.

OpenStudy (heyitslizzy13):

i have one i need help on .. here

OpenStudy (heyitslizzy13):

the given is line BF is perpendicular to line HD and line GC is perpendicular to line AE

OpenStudy (heyitslizzy13):

what i need to prove is that angle BAH is congruent to angle CAE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As I said, a diagram MUST be included!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[ BF \perp HD \quad\;\quad | \quad \text{given} \\ \angle BAH = 90^\circ \quad | \; \text{Angle between 2 perpendicular lines is } 90^\circ \\ GC \perp AE \quad\;\;\quad | \quad \text{given} \\ \angle CAE = 90^\circ \quad | \; \text{Angle between 2 perpendicular lines is } 90^\circ \\ \angle BAH = \angle CAE = 90^\circ \] Is that ok?

OpenStudy (heyitslizzy13):

@Easyaspi314 a diagram is included look above ^^^^
