OpenStudy (shamil98):

Beneath it rung the battle shout, And burst the cannon's roar; The meteor of the ocean air Shall sweep the clouds no more. The battle imagery in this excerpt suggests __________. the financial cost of war the necessity of war the eternal nature of war the frenzied danger of war

OpenStudy (zale101):

while reading it, it gave me the sense of danger

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it is c

OpenStudy (zale101):

"And burst the cannon's ROAR;" the cannon seems so dangerously put in this verse

OpenStudy (shamil98):

the frenzied danger of war? then?

OpenStudy (shamil98):

I was thinking that or the eternal nature of war.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah now even I think it is the frenzied danger of war

OpenStudy (zale101):

it can be C, because it describes how the war interacts with the nature itself, the first verse used beneath it, maybe they were describing the earth. The 3 verse described how the ocean interacts with hostility. The last one is the clouds. Yeah i really agree with you @thisSucks, i didn't read the choices carefully but i honestly not sure whether it's correct or not :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL that is the reason I hate English... science is logical there is always one correct answer lol

OpenStudy (shamil98):

I hate poetry -_-

OpenStudy (shamil98):

May i ask you to share your thoughts on a poem as well? To confer with my opinion? I shall close this question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah maybe some Math hating girl can help you. Girls are good at poetry

OpenStudy (zale101):

but i still think war is frenzied and dangerous

OpenStudy (shamil98):

ima go with C it talks bout clouds and the ocean and air ._.

OpenStudy (zale101):

because every stanza described how war is dangerous, the sound of it and how nature interacts with it. It's so dangerous to the point it effects the nature, i think that's the message of the poem

OpenStudy (zale101):

but the second stanza doesn't talk about nature, that's why i thought D is the best choice, because if u read it carefully all the verses give the sense of hostility and danger

OpenStudy (zale101):

of war

OpenStudy (zale101):

it says "eternal nature of war" how is it eternal, that didn't make sense ?

OpenStudy (shamil98):

That's true, it talks about the dangers, like a meteor , as it represents something terrifying.

OpenStudy (zale101):

wait..

OpenStudy (zale101):

i think when it says "eternal" it mean that it happens daily and it's usually part of life

OpenStudy (zale101):

i think C is right >.<
