The bible appeals to the more "mythical" aspects of the universe, and science is based on facts. Evolution has been proven by different studies in science, i.e. Homo Sapiens and the Neanderthals. It is also shown in Taxonomy (if you study biology indepth) of how different animals are put in orders, divisions, classes, etc. This is because they are related (as they show the same characteistics) somehow. http://anthro.palomar.edu/evolve/evolve_3.htm
