that will increment the count for Medals for Asking in Engagement part of SS

That is right. IF the asker interacts in the answer, you can give them a medal.

That comment wasn't necessary.

You should only give a medal to someone who answers if they thoroughly explain the question, but people just give the medal to whoever answers the quickest, even if it's wrong.

It is one of the things I do wish they had. Best response for the question itself! I have seen a few great questions where they never added a reply, so I could never best them.
