after the war :The fist phase was how Germany had to forcibly gave away their territories =, because most of other Europe countries thought that they should be punished. This is called the Treaty of Versailles.
Another isuue was that Germany had to pay sums amout of money called, reparations to the victors.

4 unresolved facts: 1. Demilitarization of Germany 2. By the article of 231 of the Treaty of Versailles, Germany had to accept the sole responsibility for starting the WWI
3. Germany also had to pay reparations
4. The League of Nations lacked the credibility due to the unwillingness of the USA to join it. Besides, Germany was prohibited to join the LoN until 1926. It occurred only after Germany had made a few concessions.
