The colonist wrote the Declaration of Independence to sever ties with the King of England. The Declaration of Independence is essentially as break up letter. Your assignment is to create a break up later to the King of England. You will be writing your break up letter in letter format.

I think that you're probably supposed to act as one of the head people of a nation that is succeeding or breaking up from the England and the King. just like how the Declaration of Independence. You're probably just supposed to represent the nation by writing the letter.
