Suppose that there are 14 songs on a compact disk (CD) and you like 8 of them. When using the random button selector on a CD player, each of the 14 songs is played in a random order. Find the probability that among the first 2 songs that are played, you like both of them, you like neither of them, and you like exactly one of them. Note that a song can be replayed before all songs are played Is there a website that will help me with this as well?

purplemath is a good site. 8/14*8/14 6/14*6/14 8/14*6/14 solve those first

I answered all of the questions if the songs could NOT repeat, but I don't know what to do when they CAN repeat

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So that's what we are doing, for the first one you have 8/14 songs you like, and those 8 songs can repeat so we multiply 8*8 to get the numerator and 14*14 for the denominator

OMG the lightbulb just went off!! Thank you so much!
